From Adding Machines to X-rays

The ORIGINAL Illustrated Catalog Of ACME Products

All of the great and wonderful products from the ACME corporaton of Warner Bros. cartoon fame.

I’m not sure if I’m more amused by the content or the concept. Either way, the site’s definitely a great way to kill some time.

Before They Were Stars (and a letter to a cat)

Celebs as Kids

It’s fun to see how many of them really haven’t changed much. And, of course, how many of them definitely have (check out Eminem).

Also, a great “just thinking of you” sort of letter:

Technological Advances in Beverages (that never quite made it)

X-Entertainment: Dead Sodas.

You know how certain hard candies contain a liquid center, and how that liquid center is always excessively tangy and causes your face to contort into all kinds of sourpusses? Pepsi Blue was a whole bottle of that.

The entire x-entertainment site is fantastic, really, especially for those of us who grew up in the 80’s. But for some reason, this article on sodas that never quite made it (Pepsi Clear, anyone?) in particular just really amused me.

Odd Experiments

Try It Yourself

As the site says: Experience psychological theory first hand through these interactive simulations and demonstrations.
“Psychic” games, optical illusions to play with, complete with explanations. Pretty interesting.

Strange Trivia, Dead Folks, We Have It All

Anomalies Unlimited

I’m not even sure how to describe this. Little bits of info on just about everything that you never really wondered about. Some conspiracy theories explained (or perpetuated), strange trivia (did you know elephants are the only animals other than humans who can stand on their heads?), pictures of famous dead people… it goes on and on. Is it real? Is it fake? No idea, but it’s definitely interesting and a fantastic time waster!
